The smokeless coffee roaster is the latest modern convenience. These are kitchen counter-top machines. Just push a button and the roaster does the rest. No need to stir the beans manually or to ventilate the roaster. Roasting takes about 15-20 minutes, depending on whether you want a light roast, a dark roast, or something in between.
The choice of roaster is basically between two models, the Nesco Pro and the Behmor 1600. The Nesco is best if there are only a couple of coffee drinkers in your household and you don't drink a huge amount of coffee. The Behmor will roast a full pound of coffee at one time and it is also better if your like dark roasts. Either way, a smokeless coffee roaster will pay for itself in a year or two, simply because green coffee beans are less expensive than roasted coffee beans. And the flavor is excellent!
