Betty Boop voice in Fairbanks?

Hi, I am St. Paul. I have a question for those who might be in the know. Back in 1974 I was in Fairbanks and attended some kind of an entertainment venue where there was a singer who said that she had been the voice of Betty Boop. Which one of the women who did the voice might she be, or was she just trying to impress us because she could do the Betty Boop voice?
